The countdown

Less than two months from now I will be unemployed and packing my bags for my YWAM adventure! My mom asked me the other day if I was nervous yet, and continued to remind me of how I'm going somewhere I don't know anyone, I don't know exactly what I'm doing, don't know where I'm going from the base, etc. But honestly, that's exactly what I want. I can't wait to get out of the norm and do new things.  I can't wait to get out of Yelm for a while! So stoked to have a real summer in the Colorado sun, many adventures, and to meet so many new people.  So as of right now I'm not even kinda nervous, excited.

So the countdown is 65 sleeps until I'm on a plane!

I have so many things I want to do between now and then. I am so blessed with my supportive family and friends!  Even those who don't understand why I would do this have kept their own thoughts out of the picture and supported my decision.

In the beginning

I've decided to start this blog now to get to know the space before I leave for my biggest adventure yet.

June 24th of this year I will step completely out of my comfort zone and into a new world. Youth With A Mission (YWAM).  It's a Christian nonprofit organization.  I will spend roughly 12 weeks in Denver, Colorado during my lecture phase. Where I will be learning from many teachers about the Lord and training to go over seas. From there I will step onto a plane and head somewhere completely new (hopefully) in the hopes to change peoples lives.  Honestly, I have no idea what I'm really getting myself into.  All I know is I'm praying for a life change and for it to be more amazing than I could ever expect.

So this is my space, where I am going to be honest, share feelings, thoughts, and express myself. Hopefully, Mr. Johnstone's senior creative writing class helped me a bit...
